Welcome to Stormfarmen, our passion project shaped by wind, waves and the wild beauty of Cold Hawaii. A place to gather with your team, family or friends — to work, rest, surf or simply slow down.
For more than two decades, we’ve travelled to Klitmøller — to surf, to breathe, to reconnect. Over the years, we brought our families, friends and colleagues, maybe even creating the first workation in Denmark without realising it. We soon noticed that even those who don’t surf fall in love with this place. So it felt only natural to create Stormfarmen right here — a unique team retreat location in Klitmøller.
Whether you want to focus, celebrate, or just enjoy time together in a calm coastal setting — Stormfarmen is a space to do it all.

Cold Hawaii
Klitmøller, the heart of Cold Hawaii, is a small fishing village on Denmark’s northwest coast. Known for its world-class waves and warm community, it was discovered by surfers in the 1990s. Since then, it’s become the unofficial capital of Nordic surf culture — yet it has kept its quiet soul.
The village is surrounded by Thy National Park, Denmark’s largest wilderness — a landscape of dunes, forests, and wide beaches. Here you’ll find surfers, birdwatchers, hikers and golfers sharing the same love for nature. Tourism has grown gently, and Klitmøller has kept its charm and authenticity.
Step outside and breathe in the mix of sea air, silence and space — the essence of Cold Hawaii.
After all the video conferencing and remote working it feels good to be together in one room again. But what could be even better? Imagine staying with your team at a cosy house in Denmark surrounded by nature and the North Sea. Sounds pretty ideal, doesn't it?
It's a special moment when you enter Denmark's largest wilderness - Thy National Park. Step outside and feel a special mix of fresh air, absolute silence and the sound of the sea far behind the dunes. That is one of the many reasons why we believe this is one of the best places to stay with your team. Another one is the flexibility and the many options you have when you book your stay at Stormfarmen. Plan a weekend with your business partners to focus on strategy or celebrate the latest successful pitch with your team - anything is possible. Our guests have used this place for yoga retreats, business meetings, surf workations and even a bachelor party (... let's talk about that first please ;)).

Get out
into nature
Nature lovers come here for hiking, running, fishing and cycling.
A few toys come with the house, such as tandem bikes, volleyball and soccer. Others can be rented in town including friendly local guides to host your adventures.
No crowds but endless beaches and stunning skies. Golfers can play a few balls on the short course before breakfast, or 18 holes on one of Scandinavia's most beautiful courses.
Many other tourist offers such as horse riding, go-karting and more will keep you busy and excited if you like.
The water is where the energy comes from in Cold Hawaii. Pro or beginner will find their perfect playgrounds and the right local schools and tools to get into windsurfing, surfing, SUP, wingfoiling, wakeboarding or sea kayak.

Enjoyers light up the fire in the sauna to see the clouds passing by. The outdoor shower can be hot or cold, just as you wish. Showering at sunrise is a pretty good way to start the day here.
Total relaxers use the hot tub for a sundowner and watch the night skies. We made sure to place it right under the milky way for you.
Wild animals regularly visit from dusk to dawn.
Fox, roe deer, fallow deer and even red deer come to say hello on the 5 ha nature property that is surrounded by Thy Nationalpark, lake Vandet and the North Sea.
Farmhouse
The farm was built in 1875 and with an annex in 2002, which served as a garage. The farmhouse is a classic Danish stone building in L-shape, which was extensively renovated a few years ago. The owner and local building contractor has created something extraordinary here.
The 311 sqm building is bright and modern on the inside and offers an extraordinary generosity, openness and clarity.
Two large living rooms facing south and west, a large eat-in serving room with cooking island and a table for up to 16 people form the centre of the house.
3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, can accommodate up to 8 people.
Presentation and audio technology and fibre optic internet make working as comfortable as possible.
Surfshack
What once was a garage, we’ve turned into the Surfshack — a small, clever and cosy space for up to six people.
Three snug sleeping bays (each with 140 cm beds) bring a sense of adventure — a little like camping in a van or sleeping on a boat. There are two small bathrooms and a warm outdoor shower (perfect for rinsing off after the waves).
The Surfshack transforms easily: workspace by day, chill spot by night. Spread out your laptop in the panoramic window nook or gather for drinks after a surf session. It’s simple living — and that’s what makes it special.
We fell in love with Klitmoller, its friendly people and beautiful nature 25 years ago.
